The traditional chai is a spiced beverage of subcontinent brewed with different proportions of Indian aromatic spices and herbs. Throughout India "chai wallahs" are a common sight on streets and railway stations, pouring their freshly brewed chai into clay earthen cups, for passing customers.
Service-Plants has infused this long cherished beverage with healing and balancing properties of Ayurveda to create Master Chai. Ayurveda is the ancient healing system of India, that which carries with it 'the wisdom of life.'
Master Chai is a specially developed tridosha formulation that is balancing to all Ayurveda body types 'doshas' - vata, pitta & kapha.
Ingredients: Rapadura, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamon, and Clove (caffeine free).
Rapadura is rapidly dehydrated cane juice. The process of rapid dehydration at low temperature allows the nutritional properties of the natural plant to be maintained.
As a result Rapadura is exceptionally high in iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium and selenium. It also contains vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6, niacin, and pantothenic acid, which work synergistically with the minerals to nourish the body.
Rapadura is also rich in phytonutrients which have powerful antioxidant properties and has a low glycemic index so it is suitable sweetener for those monitoring their sugar intake.
Directions: Add 1 teaspoon of Master Chai to a cup of boiling water, milk, soy milk or rice milk. Stir and steep for 3 minutes to allow the ground ingredients to dissolve. Additional sugar or honey can be added for taste.
Store in a dry place below 30 degrees. Reseal to retain freshness after opening.
Ayurveda Balanced: Master Chai is balanced according to the Ayurveda theory of Tridosha. The combination of natural ingredients work synergistically with the body to balance each dosha - vata, pitta and kapha, harmonising body´s natural movement, transformation and stability, creating a safe nutritional herbal beverage tonic that nourishes and detoxifies at the same time.
